the first two were focused on getting to know the characters, their dark sides, their weaknesses and their relations to others and the world around them. the third one is just a bullshit action packed movie for stupid lads who wanna go to the movies and watch as many car chases and space shuttle explosions as possible. ever so mindless and such a let down compared to the other two. This movie was ok, wasnt brilliant but wasnt bad like some people have said! Yes there is action and the story line was decent enough, but more could've been done from it, like certain characters having a better and longer role! Where X1 and X2 were lacking in action, X3 is abundant in it. Singer introduced us to the characters and their powers in X1 and X2. Ratner put the characters' powers to display on a larger scale in X3. From the Danger Room to the battle sequence in Jean's house and to Magneto ripping the Golden Gate Bridge are some of the memorable and unique action scenes.
My only criticism is that it is too short.But it sets the premise for a fourth movie, making X3 most probably not the `last' stand. ... Read More

You should have brought back Bryan Singer. Brett Ratner delivers an action packed movie, teeming with fantastic special effects. Yet, Ratner (though a good director) must learn that it does no harm to leave a bit more room in the film for character development. Singer was interested in getting to know the characters, Ratner is interested in getting to the end of the film and finishing off X-men for good.

X-Men 3 promised to be a great film, then it wasn't, a new director, forced to fit in many new characters, write out those who might not want to return and finish off a film saga that wasn't ready to finish- in 4 hours it may have been good, in 2 it was an awful film, lots of loose plots that wound up far too quickly- Vinnie Jones' Juggernaunt, Multiple Man and Callisto featured only briefly and their relationship to their comic-book counterparts was pitifully weak.
