Peter Cronin is a self taught artist who has been painting for almost twenty years. He turned professional four years ago and is becoming progressively more well known due to his annual solo exhibition at Southerndown near Bridgend and has exhibited in various galleries in Wales. He is a popular demonstrator and tutor throughout the South Wales area.
Peter works exclusively in watercolour with the luminosity and transparency of the medium given full prominence. He is a watercolorist with a pure fresh style who endeavours to reflect the continual effect of season, weather and atmosphere around his chosen subject material. Marine, landscape and coastal scenes are handled alongside industrial subjects, reflecting his years spent working at the huge coastal steel plant in Port Talbot, South Wales.
